About Immanuel OPC
![]() Immanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church is a daughter church. In 2004, the leadership of its mother congregation (Immanuel OPC in Bellmawr, NJ) decided to send forth a committed group of families to begin a new work in the growing area of southern Burlington County. Together the two groups make up one congregation that is meeting in two separate locations. In its role as a mother, Immanuel Bellmawr provides spiritual oversight as well as administrative and financial support. Lord willing, the Marlton group will grow and mature and soon be organized as a separate congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. With worship services beginning in April 2005, this new work in the Marlton area hopes to provide a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn about the Eternal God and worship Him as Lord of all. Immanuel Church is joyfully grounded in the biblical doctrines of the Protestant Reformation. We believe the Bible is the Word of God and our infallible guide for faith and life. We gather every Sunday to hear the scriptures, pray, and sing together. We rejoice in the work of missions and in the power of the gospel to transform our lives and those of our neighbors. Statement of Church PurposeSince we believe that Jesus Christ died, rose again and called a people for his praise and glory, Immanuel Presbyterian Church must be a God-serving and outward-reaching church. To this end we do covenant:
Born in 1936 out of the struggles between historic biblical Christianity and early 20 th century theological liberalism, the Orthodox Presbyterian Church seeks to be faithful to the scriptures, the legacy of the Protestant Reformation, and the historic Presbyterian confessions (the Westminster Confession of Faith, and its Shorter and Larger Catechisms). We are a theologically conservative, Calvinistic church. We seek to honor God as the sovereign Lord of the universe. We preach Christ as the Son of God, the only Savior, who died for sinners. We seek to live obedient and joyful Christian lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. We insist upon the absolute truth and authority of God’s word, the Bible, and we invite you to join us in our worship, work, and witness to the Glory of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
